FAQ
Big Picture Stuff
Your business’s online presence matters because it allows you to keep your brand top of mind with potential and existing customers. By being consistently active online, you increase the chances of people recognizing and remembering your brand when they need a veterinarian.
Having a strong online presence also allows you to establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry. By creating and sharing valuable content like blog posts, social media updates, and videos, you can position yourself as an expert and build trust with your audience.
Finally, it’s important to be active online in order to engage with your followers and foster stronger relationships. Social media specifically provides a direct line of communication between your clinic and your clients (both current and future)! By regularly engaging with your followers, responding to their comments and questions, and sharing educational content, you can build a loyal following who feel connected to your practice.
Blogs are an excellent way to establish your expertise and credibility in your industry. When pet owners turn to Google or social media with questions about their pet’s health and safety, you can be there with answers. And when they need to take the next step and seek care, they’ll know where to go. Your practice!
In addition, regularly publishing high-quality blog content can improve your website’s search engine rankings. Search engines like Google favor websites that are updated frequently with fresh, relevant, and engaging content.
Too often, people underestimate the importance of social media for their brand. The average user spends over 2 hours a day on social media—and you want your practice to show up on their feeds during that time. It’s crucial to share engaging, informational, and eye-catching content that stops users mid-scroll. While they might not need that information urgently, you are planting seeds in their mind, getting your name out there, and priming yourself to be their pick when they need a veterinarian in the future.
To be blunt — pet owners reading your blogs aren’t looking for the level of clinical detail (and graphic imagery) that veterinarians tend to provide.
As medical professionals, you are no doubt interested in all the science behind diseases and disorders (including the graphic imagery), but what your clients want is a general understanding of what might be affecting their pet, and most importantly, when to seek treatment. They need bite-sized, easy-to-digest information, free from terms and acronyms, that can guide their next steps.
For example: An owner notices their dog is coughing frequently -> they search online for possible causes -> they find and read your blog ‘5 Common Causes of Canine Coughing’ -> the content resonates with them and they decide that, as the blog suggests, their dog should be seen by a vet -> they contact you to schedule an appointment -> you evaluate, diagnose, and only then you provide the detailed information they should hear.
We recommend adding a new blog (or two) to your website every week. When you add the blog, be sure to share a link to it on social media so your followers know to check it out! If you want to gain even more traffic, you may boost the blog post on Facebook for a small budget.
We recommend posting about 3-4 times a week. You don’t want to overwhelm followers with your content, but you also want to continue to pop up on their feeds over time. One of these posts can be your announcing a new published blog on your website!
A Little More About VMC
You can read all about our furry and adorable inspiration for VMC on our “About” page, but long story short, we love animals and truly believe those who have dedicated their professional lives to animal health are the best people on the planet. Sadly, we don’t think this sentiment is shared as widely as it should be. That needs to change.
Having a hearty online presence is an important component of your practice marketing strategy, but content creation is not quick and easy. And if it is, then it’s likely not so good. VMC is our way of enabling veterinary teams to spend more time doing the important work of caring for pets. We spend our time doing the grunt work of researching and developing blog topic ideas, designing eye-catching social media graphics and filling them with valuable content, and staying on top of industry news/trends.
Blogs provide informative content that positions veterinary professionals as the experts you are. Social media facilitates two-way communication with your clients (both current and future) out of the office setting. Regularly engaging with your readers/followers by responding to their comments and questions, builds credibility, connections, trust, and loyalty. Those are some powerful benefits, and it’s our job to help you achieve them — so you can continue rockin’ at what you do best.
We provide a variety of materials where there is truly something for everyone. Our content addresses a wide variety of pet health, well-being and behavior-focused topics, and has been strategically designed to resonate with pet owners.
With VMC, there are no contracts, no long-term commitments, and no time wasted going back-and-forth on revisions. If you see something you like on our site, simply download and edit it based on your preferences. It’s quick and easy. Or, if you’re good with the content as it is, just go ahead and post!
There are also no limits, so download and use as little or as much as your want. You want to visit VMC on a regular basis since our site is always being updated with fresh, relevant, and engaging content.
Expect to find 15+ blogs and 50+ new social posts on the first of each month. You’ll never be hungry for content at the VMC!
We also have a “Shareables” section that provides the latest news, information, trends, stories, etc. that can be shared with pet parents via online channels, and we have an “In the News” section that is updated with fresh, relevant articles, announcements, etc. from the animal health world.
Policies
While we certainly hope that members will find the content and resources we offer more than worth the monthly/annual subscription fee, we understand that needs can and will change, so we’ve designed our membership to be contract and commitment free.
If you have a monthly membership, you can cancel any time in the month prior to your next billing date and you will not incur additional charges. If you have an annual membership, you can cancel at any time and receive a prorated refund for the remaining months in your billing period (price- adjusted based on the monthly versus annual rate).
Please note, due to the digital nature of our products/services, and the unlimited content access offered to members, we can’t offer full refunds for subscriptions. That being said, we’re confident in the value you receive and pricing that works for all budgets, making it easy to “outsource” a time-consuming, often difficult responsibility for practice owners.
